Does Zoom have a built-in way to blur part of a page?
This page does not describe a built-in Zoom, Meet, or Teams feature. PlainBlur blurs the web page in Chrome before you share the tab. That cover is separate from whatever those products draw on a call. Check each vendor's own help if you need their controls.
What's the difference between sharing a tab and sharing your whole screen?
Sharing a browser tab sends that tab. Sharing your whole screen also sends other windows and the desktop. PlainBlur only blurs the web page in Chrome, so a full-screen share can still show a desktop app, a notification, or another window.
How do I blur one field before I share?
Click the field, or drag a rectangle over it, before you share. Open PlainBlur, choose Blur an element, and click. Or choose Blur an area and drag. Alt+Shift+E picks an element, Alt+Shift+A drags an area, and Alt+Shift+B shows or hides every blur. A kept blur comes back after a reload once you choose Remember this site, or Remember every site. Until you allow that, the blur lasts for the visit.
What will PlainBlur not hide?
PlainBlur will not hide a desktop app, another window, or text it never sees. It is a best-effort visual aid that can miss text in images, canvases, and some iframes, and a brief flash before the blur is possible. The script runs in the top page, not inside an iframe. The page is not uploaded. PlainBlur is a visual aid, not a privacy or compliance guarantee.
What does it cost?
Free is manual blur on one site. Pro is $49, paid once, for one browser, and covers every site plus auto-blur. Team is $99, paid once, for five browsers, with the same blurs as Pro. The first site you blur is the one Free keeps. On another site, a manual blur lasts for that visit and is not kept. This website does not take payment.
